2022
Founding & First Product
It all starts with Jonas, who tries to produce a plastic-free bait near Bern, after he calculated how much plastic & lead he and his brothers had used while fishing. Many setbacks and discussions with experts follow until he comes across the first exciting formula: Capt'n Greenfin is founded on July 18, 2022, in Bern.
2023
Nico and Gabriel come on board
At the turn of the year, Nico and Gabriel learn about the mission to sustainably revolutionize the angling industry. From this point on, the three work on the production and market entry for Germany and Switzerland.
2023
Research Funding
It quickly becomes clear: to develop the best plastic-free bait, we need expertise and access to machinery. We receive a funding project and can now further develop our products with scientists.

Production in Germany
We are starting a collaboration with a social workshop for people with disabilities and will be adapting the production process together with them. Claudia, Markus, and Marc are now part of the Greenfin family.

Participation "Die Höhle der Löwen"
We present our products on the well-known TV format. A "lion" takes the bait – but wants too many shares of the company. We decline and find the necessary financing for research, production, and market entry through other means.
2024
Trade Fair Marathon
We are presenting our products for the first time at Angelwelt Berlin and other trade fairs in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Thousands of anglers are joining Team #CLEANFISHING and motivating us to continue developing!

New products
In addition to other forms of protein soft baits, we are also developing our own lead-free alloy to offer predatory fish enthusiasts the complete package. Market feedback is promising: The alloy is harder than lead, cheaper than tungsten, and has smaller heads than tin, zinc, and steel.

The Breakthrough: Greenfin FLEX
After years of development, we are presenting our revised Greenfin FLEX material at Angelwelt Berlin: more robust, more flexible, and with a new attractant formula for predatory fish.
The increased durability of the lures allows for new shapes: the SAMBA PADDLE & the LAOLA CRAW complement the lure range alongside Pintails and Bienenmade.
